Canadians SS Jason Christian beats out a ground ball in the bottom of the 9th inning in Tuesday's 16-9 loss to Boise.  Christian was called out on the play summing up a long afternoon at the ballpark.

The Vancouver Canadians struggled Tuesday afternoon to a 16-9 loss to the Boise Hawks before 3, 081 fans.  The C’s missed an opportunity to make up ground on the Everett and Eugene who were both idle Tuesday.  With the loss, Vancouver falls nine games below .500 at 26-35

The Canadians now head to Eugene, Oregon to open up a three-game road swing against the 2nd place Emeralds.  Eugene is 4-6 in their past 10 games, but are still very much within striking distance of the 1st place Salem-Keizer Volcanoes who wrap up a five-game series against Spokane Tuesday night.

The Canadians will send LHP Pedro Figueroa, RHP Michael Hart and LHP Trey Barham to the mound against the Ems starting Wednesday night in Eugene.  You can catch all of the action right here on Canadians Baseball.com with play-by-play broadcaster Rob Fai providing the call of the game.

Vancouver returns home to open up a three-game home stand starting on Saturday, August 23rd at 7:05pm vs. Everett with Fireworks presented by Canadian Direct Insurance scheduled for that night.  Sunday, August 24th, the C’s will host another A&W Family Fun Sunday as the gate giveaway on the 24th is a Kids Cap Giveaway to the first 500 kids under 12 years of age.   On Monday, August 25th the Canadians will hand out the official 2008 Team Photograph with all of your favourite players and staff.
