Community
The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club is extremely proud to give back to the same community that has supported baseball in BC for over 100 years and Nat Bailey Stadium since 1951. Along with some great partners, the C’s mandate is to try and support initiatives in a unique and spirited fashion. Whether the C’s donate tickets, or provide onsite support for your event, the Vancouver Canadians are very proud to support many non-profit organizations and events around BC.
Community Partners

Kids Up Front
Thanks to the strong support of C’s partners, less-advantaged youth and families have the opportunity to attend a Vancouver Canadians baseball game this coming summer. BC Hydro Power Smart, Global BC and Adtel graciously donated tickets to Kids up Front. Kids up Front partners with 100 child-serving agencies across the Lower Mainland to distribute tickets to kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity to enjoy a Vancouver Canadians game. During 20 C’s home games, one lucky child will have the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch courtesy of BC Hydro Power Smart.

If you have any unused Vancouver Canadians tickets in the future, Kids up Front will take your unused tickets and distributes them to these needy children, ensuring that a ticket never goes to waste. For best results, please allow Kids up Front at least 10 days lead time for your donation. Ticket donations are eligible for charitable tax receipts. To donate call: 604.266.KIDS (5437) or email: kidsupfrontvancouver@shawbiz.ca. Kids up Front, enhancing the lives of children in your community.

Over the past year, the Vancouver Canadians have worked hard in the community to bring smiles to the faces of many thankful individuals. In October, the Vancouver Canadians partnered with Safeway and The Salvation Army to distribute 100 turkeys to needy families during Thanksgiving. Later this year, the Vancouver Canadians will look once again to spread some more holiday cheer. Even when there was snow on the ground and frost in the air, the C’s are front and center helping out. Once again, in partnership with Quality Christmas Trees and The Salvation Army, 100 Christmas trees will be distributed to needy families. You’ll also see our enthusiastic, smiling staff volunteering their time at many of these events, tournaments & festivals throughout the Lower Mainland all year long!
Every summer our players also take time out of their practice schedule to drop in and visit with the kids at area hospitals. This is a great opportunity for our players to take a moment out of their hectic training schedules and gain perspective on their lives and careers.

Remember when you were a kid and dreamed of one day taking the field with the pros? Well, this fun, memorable experience for youth teams is making dreams come true. Available for one youth baseball team per home game, this group package offers young players a unique opportunity to come dressed in their uniforms and run out onto the field with the C’s for the singing of the National Anthems. Your team will then sit together as a group in the Reserved Grandstand section. Each player will also receive a hot dog, fountain soda and cracker jack. If you know a Little League team interested in this unique opportunity, call the Vancouver Canadians at 604.872.5232.
Ticket Donation
In addition to these off-season donations, the Vancouver Canadians strongly support non-profit organizations during the baseball season. The Vancouver Canadians help out hundreds of charitable groups every year that turn to the C’s to raise money for their cause.
To do the same, please email Jason Takefman at jtakefman@canadiansbaseball.com with a request on your organizations letterhead. Please state the name of your organization, the date of the event, type of your event (silent auction, school dance, dry graduation, etc.), background information about your fundraising initiatives and the history of your organization, and the name of the contact person with his or her phone number and email address. Please allow at least 6 weeks for your request to be processed. The Vancouver Canadians look forward to receiving your request and supporting your cause.
